“Joy is found when you focus your energy on improving human dignity, human capacity and human values.” - Amit Ray
Living in this digital savvy world definitely comes with its perks. Thanks to the internet, anyone can learn a new skill or two through online courses. There’s no denying online learning is a fun and inexpensive way to extend your knowledge. And you know what they say, knowledge is power…
As a qualified osteopath and certified yoga teacher, I love to help others feel better. This was one of the main reasons Aidan and I decided to team up and create a series of online yoga lessons - to help individuals improve their wellbeing wherever they are in the world.
Here are some of my favourite reasons why taking an online course is a great idea:
Online learning involves a higher level of independence so in addition to learning a new skill, you’ll be improving self-motivation as well as time management - two life skills that are handy to have.
Online courses can be fitted around your schedule. Not only can you learn when you want but wherever too; all you need is an internet connection and you’re good to go.
Doing an in-class course involves you having to leave your house and use some sort of transport (unless it’s walking distance) to get to class. Did you know, air pollution in the UK is estimated to cause 28,000 to 36,000 deaths each year. This is made up of both man-made and natural sources. Become greener and learn online!
The possibilities of what to learn are endless. There are so many options to choose from and you don’t need to be restricted to learning just one. Platforms like Udemy have over 30 million students and offer over 100,000 courses!
If there’s one thing I recommend anyone learn in their spare time, it’s yoga.
Mastering the practice of yoga gives immense health benefits and it’s something you can use daily to improve your mood and wellbeing. If you want to learn the key characteristics of a good and healthy yoga practice, check out our online courses here.
It’s also worth knowing every time 100 people sign up, we will randomly select one to receive a £100 prize!
